Sudan to the US

The youngest of seven children, Mari moved from the Sudan to the United States when she was in 5th grade. Life in American brought on a new set of challenges. Many people judged Mari because of her background, and she had to learn a completely new language. Miraculously, the Lord put a few people into Mari's life that took her under their wing. In high school Mary moved up from ESL classes, to honors classes, and then eventually AP classes her senior year.
